Human Promise IV is an immersive four-day residential retreat held in the tradition of Dr. Warter’s transformational work, developed over five decades of bridging psychiatry, transpersonal psychology, and contemplative science. Drawing on the Theory of Psychosynergy, this retreat opens a living laboratory of the self. Deep psychological excavation meets expanded states of awareness. Science meets the sacred. The personal becomes the transpersonal. Space is intentionally limited. Every participant is chosen. This is not a conference. It is a crucible.

DAY THREE: Transpersonal Opening

Moving beyond the personal into transpersonal dimensions. Consciousness expands into its larger context. The separate self discovers its deeper ground.

DAY FOUR: Integration and Return

Anchoring transformation into lived reality. Embodying what was discovered. Establishing practices for the continuing journey beyond the retreat.

About Dr. Carlos Warter

Dr. Carlos Warter, MD, PhD, has spent more than fifty years at the frontier where medicine, depth psychology, and consciousness science converge. Born in Santiago, Chile in 1947, he completed his psychiatric training at Harvard Medical School and developed the Theory of Psychosynergy. His spiritual formation spans multiple traditions. Sufi initiation in Meknes, Morocco. Tibetan Buddhist studies. Years with the renowned Sufi teacher Idries Shah at the Institute of Cultural Research in England. Deep engagement with contemplative psychology through figures including Ram Dass, Stanislav Grof, Carl Rogers, and the Dalai Lama. Dr. Warter’s humanitarian vision extends from the 1985 Rust, Austria peace conference to the United Nations, where he serves as a delegate and received the Messenger of Peace Award. His prolific bibliography includes more than thirty works in English and Spanish, with the forthcoming Supraterrestrials and the Nature of Life arriving in 2027. The Human Promise Program, created in 1973, remains his most intimate offering.

• Travel: Fly into San Diego International (SAN); ~45–55 minutes by car to Vista.
